Discover the Fontaine Pétrifiante waterfall, a veritable refuge for biodiversity and home to rare and threatened ecosystems. On the balcony path leading up to the waterfall, you'll enjoy a panoramic view of Lac du Chambon and the Uissans peaks!
Leaving from Les Aymes, in the hamlet of Mizoën, set off on a hike to discover the wonders of the Ferrand Valley. You'll walk along a balcony trail on the heights of the Romanche gorges, above the Lac du Chambon; you'll discover the Lac Lovitel and its fun panels for the more inquisitive which will enable you to discover the specific features of the flora and fauna of this area; wander around the remains of the hamlet of Les Clots, where the only remaining structure is a guarded refuge, before climbing up to the Petrifying Fountain waterfall, where you'll discover a tuffière, a veritable biodiversity refuge, home to rare and threatened ecosystems and part of the European Natura 2000 network. On your way back, take a break at the refuge in the hamlet of Les Clots, which offers meals, to make the most of this idyllic setting with its panoramic views of the Uissans peaks.
