Description

An essential ski touring route to the Goléon refuge and the eponymous lake, located close to the refuge.

From the hamlet of Les Hières, take the Valfroide path and head straight up the valley towards the Goléon refuge.

It is also possible, from the same starting point, to branch off in the direction of CRUQ before descending to the refuge. Allow 4 hours for this alternative.
