The Derrière les montagnes association is presenting an exhibition of photographs by Emmanuel Breteau, who, for more than thirty years, has chronicled the world of Alpine pastoral life by photographing the lives and work of herders and shepherds with their animals. Noting significant changes within their professions and a lack of understanding from society, he sought to gather the stories of those who carry on an ancestral tradition of livestock farming.
This event is part of the International Year of Pastoralism and the Festival of Science.
