Don't miss the premiere of the International Mountaineering Festival, featuring several days of meetings, discussions, and screenings of mountain films!
On the schedule:
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 18
11 a.m. – Meet-and-greets with authors, tributes, and short talks.
4 p.m. – Public opening of the FIA, with Catherine Destivelle and Jean-Marc Rochette in attendance.
5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.: Book signings with Editions du Mont-Blanc and Les Etages.
8:00 p.m. – “Perspectives on Mountaineering and Publishing” event, featuring Catherine Destivelle & Jean-Marc Rochette and a few surprise guests.
MONDAY, OCTOBER 19
10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. & 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. — FIA forums on “Enabling and Passing On Mountaineering,” focusing on the issue of access and lodging affected by climate change (4 or 5 case studies). Registration required.
8:00 PM - Film screenings: “Chimères patagones” followed by “Les Jours Sauvages.”
Suggested donation: €5 (or more) to benefit the Friends of La Bérarde.
TUESDAY, OCTOBER 20
10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. & 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. - FIA forums on “Enabling and Passing On Mountaineering,” focusing on unstaffed shelters, bivouacs, and huts, featuring experts from Italy, the Ecrins National Park, and UIAGM guides specializing in bivouacking.
8:00 p.m.: Screening of the film “The Summits of the Gods.”
