Demonstration of garnishing - Atelier 45 ceramic
Description
Stéphane GUIFFREY invites you to take part in a turning and/or trimming demonstration in his workshop.
He will introduce you to one of the finishing techniques for a ceramic piece: trimming. This process consists of adding elements to a main piece by means of gluing. This includes elements such as handles, spouts or other parts added to the piece during manufacture. Allow 1 hour to discover all the techniques involved in this stage.
Stéphane offers this activity as part of the "Route des savoir-faire de l'Oisans". This route brings together all the craftsmen, artists, producers and cultural sites in the Oisans region who have agreed to open the doors of their workshops, farms or museums, to share their know-how with the public. The "Route des savoir-faire de l'Oisans" is a gateway to the Uissanne mountain culture, its rich heritage and its many and varied skills.
