Mosaic classes

Laurence Chapelon-Chain invites you to discover the techniques behind this ancient decorative art. You will learn how mosaic techiniques, such as cutting, drawing, assembly and joining. Classes where you can work on your project at your own pace!

Laurence CHAPELON-CHAIN lives in Rioupéroux. A mosaicist, she uses different materials (Briare enamels, pâte de verre, mirrors, etc.) and assembles them in colorful figurative compositions. Decorative and utilitarian objects on a variety of supports.

Laurence offers this activity as part of the "Route des savoir-faire de l'Oisans". This route brings together all the craftsmen, artists, producers and cultural sites in the Oisans region who have agreed to open the doors of their workshops, farms or museums, to share their know-how with the public. The "Route des savoir-faire de l'Oisans" is a gateway to Oisans mountain culture, its rich heritage and its many and varied skills. As you travel along its routes, you'll discover a variety of landscapes and endearing personalities, whose workmanship and products you'll appreciate.

Duration: 2 hours minimum per course, you should allow around 18 hours to cut and make a complete product.
