But even more than in winter, it is the summertime that offers a huge range of sporting or leisure activities. Cyclists, hikers and motorcyclists will simply love this area, climbing up to Alpe d'Huez, the Galibier, Glandon, Croix de Fer and all the other mythical passes of the Alps. All this in the heart of a breathtaking, unspoiled natural area, the Ecrins National Park, featuring high altitude lakes and the Emparis plateau, which is the highest and largest alpine pasture in France.
